There was a radio campaign too. Done with the accents (and sounds) of — I think — 5 regions: The Maritimes, Quebec, Ontario, The Prairies and BC. Each ended with the tagline “America Borders on the Magnificent . . . Canada!” I just wish I had taped them — they were great
When I read that tag line, I can’t help but think of the righteous outrage it would spawn in America these days. “How dare the Canadians suggest that America is not fully magnificent!”. Prime Minister Harper would have to make a public apology.
How insecure the U.S. has become over the last 30-odd years.
